History

Truvox was founded in the 1930's, originally producing sound reproduction equipment including one of the earliest portable reel to reel tape recorders.

The production of floor cleaning machines started in the early 1960's with a range of electrical polishing machines. Since then Truvox International has moved forward to be recognised as a world leader in the design and production of pioneering new and effective floorcare machines. This global position has been achieved through a long-term commitment to offering quality products, at a competitive price backed by unrivalled customer service.

At our factory in Southampton, we design and build the machines, supplying not only in the UK but also to over 70 countries worldwide.

Customer Service team handle our customer’s needs from all over the world ensuring a first class service to all our customers. We are a BSI Registered Company (BS EN ISO 9001:2002) registration being attained on 1st April 1989. This again shows a commitment to all aspects of the process from receipt of order to manufacture and supply.

The acquisition of 'Trewax Manufacturing' in 1997 was a major step forward, adding the range of the internationally respected Hydromist Carpet cleaning machines to our already growing range.

In spring 2003 the acquisition of the Cimex range of specialist machines further demonstrates the commitment Truvox has for the future. Truvox is now in a position to supply a full range of cleaning equipment. With the acquisitions, design and development techniques, customer service and after sales teams we are moving forward and able to offer our customers better products and service than at any time in the company's history.

January 2007 Truvox was acquired by the Tacony Corporation of St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Tacony Corporation is organized into four strategic business units: Commercial Floor Care, Home Floor Care, Sewing and Ceiling Fans & Lighting and has over 550 employees worldwide based at 11 facilities.
